EVENTS
With a conservative leaning Supreme Court, anti-abortion activists and lawmakers are closer than ever to achieving their goal of overturning Roe v. Wade and pushing abortion care out of reach for millions across the nation. We sat down (virtually) with author Robin Marty, to discuss her newest book “The New Handbook for a Post-Roe America.”

Virtual Repro Town Hall: Keeping Cory Accountable For Kavanaugh
Thanks to Brett Kavanaugh, in the middle of a global pandemic and economic crisis, the court has made it that much harder for people to prevent, plan, and space their pregnancies. The contraception provision in the Affordable Care Act, gave 62 million women, including 17 million Latinas and 15 million Black women nationwide the ability to plan their families on their terms. Now that's all in jeopardy. For this event we teamed up with Cobalt, Demand Justice, and Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado to hold Senator Cory Gardner accountable for putting Kavanaugh on the bench.

An Online Conversation with
Renee Bracey Sherman
We partnered with Cobalt and We Testify for a conversation with Renee Bracey Sherman to discuss "Abortion stigma, the power of abortion storytelling, and confronting anti-Blackness in anti-abortion rhetoric." Renee and co-host Dani Newsum examined the roots of abortion shame and stigma, and the power of shared personal abortion stories and other tools we can use to overcome and transcend that stigma. Ms. Bracey Sherman also explored the ways in which anti-abortion shamers utilize racism and misogyny against Black people and other peoples of color who have had an abortion or are seeking an abortion.

Dou-La-La
We partnered with Awakening Boutique to raise money for the Colorado Doula Project, a grassroots non-profit organization that provides free logistical and emotional support for people accessing abortion in Colorado.

Rockin’ for Roe!
We partnered with Girls Rock Denver and 3 local bands of different genres to put on a concert on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, called “Rockin’ for Roe” at the Denver venue, Larimer Lounge.

Colorado National Period Day Rally
We collaborated with Period. Inc, Period Kits, International Association for Premenstrual Disorders (IAMPD), Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado, and Women’s Voices for the Earth to rally for National Period Day-- elevating the issue of period poverty and demanding real change to making period products more accessible for all and ending the #TamponTax. Access to products for menstruation is a right, not a privilege. We are the Menstrual Movement-- fighting for equitable access to menstrual products and breaking down the stigma surrounding periods.

Keep Abortion Providers Safe:
Face Mask Donation Drive
During the first 3 months of the pandemic, while PPE (personal protective equipment) was difficult to find, we worked with local community partners to host a mask drive for abortion providers. Healthcare workers are on the front lines of this global pandemic, reproductive healthcare workers are no different. Keeping abortion safe during COVID-19 means making sure providers and clinic staff have the equipment they need to continue providing essential services to our community. #AbortionIsEssential
